What is the difference between satire and parody? You should already know. With this in mind, go to http://www.shakespeare-parodies.com/macbeth.html (or refer to the two copies of the Macbeth parody on this site). Read the parody. Then, on the discussion board, comment on at least three specific parts of the parody that you thought were funny. If you find humor in it, or at least understand the attempt at humor, this will further prove your understanding of the text. Comment on how the parody is different than the original and how these difference appear comical. Keeping in mind the "Curse of Macbeth" in productions of the play will help. Finally, be sure to comment on at least three other students' reflections. Basically, just have an online discussion of this new text. This will also give you some insight into the scene that you will be performing for your project. Happy rowing.
